More Work To Be Done

07/06/2022: Currently working on some notes for the novels. The kids book will have to wait until there are test readers. Aside from that, some of the more important world notes will get more focus. There’re the gods, mortals etc, to work on. Oh well, time to knock things out.

Done For Now

06/29/2022: The book is done for now. I need to edit some illustrations and get test readers, but so far I’ve progressed. Next is to work on the novels and notes. Let’s see where things go.

Okay, Faster

06/08/2022: Well, I’m a few pages away from getting halfway on the book. Honestly, forgot how some splash arts styled pieces can take way longer. I’m not trying to harp on any details but, this is definitely a different challenge compared to my previous work. Progress is progress and steady going.

A Little Faster

06/02/2022: There is still a lot to go through and work to reevaluate. The more work I do, the more seems to appear. Either way, still getting things done. Here’s the current progress for the book.

Steady We Go

05/25/2022: I'm Currently on the kids' book and trying to finish it. Doing full-page coloring without black lines takes a little longer. Steady we go.

Current Progress

05/18/2022: Slow and steady are a little low for me as of now. I need to pick up the pace just a bit. There is a limit to get to, and a daily goal to work towards. So that's what I will do for now. This effort is a bit more challenging than the others. I am so use to using black outlines that there is a little intimidation in the artwork, but I'll keep going as best I can.

Steady Progress

05/11/2022: I think I can do it. A lot of the artwork will take some time compared to the last kids' book but, this should be good. This definitely will take a few months. Hoping this will be done by july or august. Then back to the novels.

Back To Kids' Books

05/04/2022: Currently still working on the children's book. I did have another project I was working on and doing notes for the novels but, time to go full force for the books. I don't now when it will be done. Hopefully by July, give or take a few days.

Covering in Color

04/13/2022: I now have each of the pages completed in sketching, which is the short part of the process. Next on the task list is to start coloring and making a few changes to the characters. The one thing I am concerned about is leaving black lines out of the images. It's not hard to do but, outlines are a basis I've often used and it is hard to break away. Let's see how things go.

The Problem With Kids and Tornadoes

03/23/2022: There was a moment of pause as I've nearly finished the alpha pages for the children's book with an age-old question "Are tornados too epic for a children's book?" A bit ridiculous when the wizard of oz had Dorathy transported to another world via tornado and killed a witch and stole her shoes. Looking back, I also remember that scissor man from several horror games was originally a german story of a weird guy with giant scissors taking kids' thumbs for sucking on them. So yeah, a tornado is very tame. Almost done with the first part.

Half Way For The Alpha Pages

03/16/2022: Slow and steady trying to keep pace. I've continued with the sketching for a while now with 2 pages a day. Coloring will definitely take longer but, other than that, things are on time. The one thing I've got to really ensure is that there isn't too much detail. I have plenty but, some pages may seem visually busy. More on that later. Aside from that, I need to learn marketing for the novel. I'm not too familiar with how to do so, but I do have a few options. That's it for now.

A Steady Pace

03/10/2022: Steadily getting through the easy part. The sketches are coming along nicely, but coloring will take longer. Hoping I can do a little better with the artwork of this next kids' book. No black lines. Other than that, I'm not certain when it will be done. Just gonna bulldoze through.

The Next Kid's Book

03/02/2022: Well, there is another kids' book in the works. I'm uncertain when it'll be finished. But, I am working on it with a little more illustration on character forms. Hoping my skills have grown a lot more for this next story. Other than that, I will try to relegate notes to weekends to keep both writing and the world bible in order. For now, that's it. Just time to see what progresses.

Next Step

02/23/2022: Finally made the first book and published but, with a year ahead. I will need to be more vigilant in my efforts. The next thing to do is build more on the world lore, map and languages. Another thing I need to work on is the next children’s book. That won’t take too long, hoping, but that is the focus. The next segments will be in short stories before the second part of Nuyani’s journey. As for my own, time to figure out ads.

Now I'm There

02/09/2022: After a long wait, the book is finally done. The first novel of many to come. I did change a few things, and I'm sure there're some more bumps on the road, but I have one done. Need to keep moving. More to come.

Almost There

12/19/2021: There is a lot of work needed to be done for my series and the pace needs to be picked up. But, I do have at least one book coming with the “Witch of Kelvert” turning into a full book instead of just a three parter. Either way, I will publish the full story soon. I’m exited. Just need the cover and beta readers to finish.

Head Winds in 2021

01/10/2021:

After the obstacles I've faced, the one thing I want to do now is to properly complete my books. Once I write the second part for the "Witch of Kelvert," I will also write part 3 and turn it into a proper book. The things I need to consider is what I want to do with these stories. Yes, I want to write a full series, but my ideas go so expansive that I even consider doing simultaneous series for the stories.

So now there is just one thing to do for the year, and that is to properly plan out each book. Once the books are outlined, the characters are written, and the timeline reviewed, I will start completing the work. Writing every day is the only goal I have right now. I just need to keep the focus I've managed to gain.

The goal for this year is to have 5 stories outlined and written out, but 3 being published. I won't go to anything else until that happens. I will make this year grow as another milestone.

Current Trajectory of 2021

12/27/2020:

While I won't be using the 100day count any longer, I will try to meet different deadlines for the upcoming year. By the 1st of April, I hope to publish The Witch of Kelvert Part 2 and be on part 3 with a second draft. Let's see what happens in 2021. I'm still looking to try and complete five books but, let's see. I control all my time and can do whatever I need for the future.

Onward

12/13/2020:

For a small update, I will try to finish a book in writing every month for the next year. I don't know if I will make it, but I will try. The purpose of this is to see if I can reach writing 5 books in a year, and see how many I can publish as well. This, to me, does seem like an extreme. But, I will equate this trial to the Big Ask if you will. I will try to reach something so far ahead that even falling short will still give a decent result. Though, the big ask is a concept of going for something so ridiculous that even something normal seems reasonable in a money deal. I am paraphrasing so don't take this as gospel. Either way, this is the plan and I have writing to do.

Also, I am working on the second draft for "The Witch of Kelvert Part 2" and it is coming together. Time to see what I can do. If I am lucky, it will be done by the end of January. That all just depends on my drive. Let's go, 2021. I got work to do.

Just Around the Bend

10/07/2020: (Day 13)

It is almost jaw-dropping how much things have gone through with more focus. The book will be finished in at most a week and a few days. I've hired an editor and a cover artist so far for the novella. Soon, it will be done, and I can focus on part 2. Not wanting to count chickens before they hatch.

Right now, there are more things needed to be planned out, and I would rather be thorough while speeding along. I am recording the notes and time to map things out. Next, I will focus on short stories to flesh out locations and timelines. I believe this will allow both a vast ocean to be deep as well. I am close to a bigger story, and all the happier for it. If things go right, I will be published with part 1 by the end of the month, if not sooner.
